Directions to Higoji

From:

  • Kumamoto Train Station: Minshuku Higoji is a short, uphill walk from Kumamoto Station. To get here it is easiest to walk to to take a taxi cab. If taking a cab, give the driver the name (Minshuku Higoji) and the address (4-39-31 Kasuga Kumamoto-Shi). If walking, you can follow this map:

  • Kumamoto Bus Terminal: From the bus terminal, the easiest way to get to Minshuku Higoji is to take the city tram. To get there, take a right out of the bus terminal to the first large street and then take a left. You should see Karashimacho tram station in the middle of the road. You want to take it in the direction of Kumamoto Eki, and then follow the above direction to get from the train station to Minshuku Higoji.   • Fukuoka: From the Fukuoka Airport you can take an Airport Limosine bus, which will take you directly to the above Kumamoto Bus Terminal. The bus terminal is the last stop on the route. You can also take the train from Fukuoka Station to Kumamoto Station, using the Tsubame Express. 
  • Nagasaki: The easiest way to come to Kumamoto from Nagasaki is to use the Tsubame Express JR train to Kumamoto Station, though you can also travel through Shimabara and take the ferry.
  • Shimabara: Coming from Shimabara City, you can use the ferry to Kumamoto Port, and then take a bus from the Port to either the train station or the bus terminal.
  • Oita: From Oita you can use the JR Limited Express train directly to Kumamoto Train Station.
  • Kagoshima: From Kagoshima you can use the JR Tsubame Express directly to Kumamoto Train Station.
